The McLennan County Mudmen are not always present. They do not appear on any predictable schedule, nor do they remain for extended periods of time.
Their presence seems tied, in some way not yet fully understood, to periods of sustained rainfall along the Brazos River and surrounding lowlands of McLennan County.
Tracks. Missing objects. Small disturbances in places that had been undisturbed the day prior.
They are not formed from mud.
They rely on it.
Moisture appears essential. During dry conditions, there are no credible reports.
